Jack’s Place at The Rosen Plaza Hotel

As a family, we’ve been eating at Jack’s Place restaurant for going on 16 years now. The restaurant is situated just off the lobby of the Rosen Plaza Hotel on International Drive.

The hotel is run by the Rosen family and the restaurant is dedicated to its late owner Jack Rosen.

The restaurant has a wonderfully classy yet relaxed feel to the place. It’s a restaurant we like to get dressed up to eat at. The decor is beautifully stylish and the staff just can’t do enough for you.

The restaurant has many caricatures hanging on its walls with some sketched by the late Jack Rosen himself which are always fun to peruse.

I always order the Fillet Mignon steak and Lobster tail and pair it with a recommended wine from the superb wine list and it is a meal that is just out of this world amazing! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Taverna Opa at Pointe Orlando

Taverna Opa is a Greek restaurant that is located at Pointe Orlando on International Drive.

This place is off the hook for the entertainment factor. If you are looking for a very lively Greek-themed restaurant then look no further than Taverna Opa. At the weekend the place really comes alive with amazing Greek-style music, Belly Dancers, and even dancing on the tables is permitted. This place is amazingly fun and well worth a visit.

The Greek food here is just as amazing as the entertainment if not better. We like to eat here during the day for lunch as the place has an amazing happy hour.

Our favorite thing to do is to order a bunch of small plates to share over lunch.

The house-made hummus is absolutely to die for! The order comes in a bamboo wooden mortar and pestle to mash up exactly how you like and is served with hot wedges of pitta bread which are generously sprinkled with oregano and sea salt. The Keftedes meatballs are another serious favorite of ours. We also like to order portions of spinach rice, lemon potatoes, sauteed shrimp, and a Greek salad. I know this sounds like a lot of food and it probably is, but it is a sharing buffet for two and we absolutely love it.

Kobe Japanese Steakhouse on I-Drive

This next restaurant is another extremely fun place to dine while on vacation to Orlando. Kobe Steakhouse is located at 8148 International Drive and is well worth a visit and we highly recommend it.

Kobe is a Japanese-style Teppanyaki restaurant, (meaning cooked from an iron plate).

The first time I got to eat at this restaurant I had no idea how much fun this style of dining would be. We were part of a large wedding party and we reserved seats in the Teppanyaki dining room and had a full communal chef’s table to ourselves.

The theatrical way in which the food is prepared by the expert chefs is nothing short of genius. It really is a full night’s entertainment, and the food is extremely tasty. Definitely worth a visit to this restaurant.

Maggiano’s Little Italy At Pointe Orlando

Maggiano’s Little Italy is another amazing restaurant we love to frequent while in the International Drive area.

The large dining room always has an incredible atmosphere about it, and the food has always been satisfying. Lots of old Italian-style memorabilia throughout the decor which is stylishly designed. The staff are always pleasant and can’t do enough for you.

My favorite dish to order is Mom’s Lasagna, which is just incredibly comforting and never fails to hit the spot with a nice glass of red. The whole authentic Italian cuisine experience is what brings me back here time and again. Definitely try this place out for a treat, it won’t disappoint.

Bahama Breeze on I-Drive

Bahama Breeze is a really cool spot to dine and hang out for the evening. The entertainment is always a lot of fun and has a real Caribbean vibe. Most evenings there is someone playing the steel drums or playing Bob Marley songs. It really feels like a little bit of paradise on the heart of International Drive.

The food and cocktails here are extremely tasty and never fail to please. The restaurant serves some really nice steak, seafood, and gorgeous pasta dishes.

Some of my favorite dishes I like to order from Bahama Breeze are their Grilled Salmon dish or the Jerk Chicken Pasta, paired with a nice wine or even with some of their amazing frozen cocktails to get you in the Caribbean mood for the evening.

  • Style: American Caribbean
  • Price range $$ – $$$
  • Address: 8849 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819

Update Below!!! Closed as of April 2026!!!

Miller’s Ale House International Drive

This next restaurant/sports bar is a lot of fun and they just so happen to serve really great food. Now if a noisy sports bar is not your taste then you probably won’t like Millers Ale House.

Millers is an awesome relaxed place to enjoy some food and catch a local sports game on one of the many T.V screens. the restaurant/bar has retractable walls which wind up to make an outdoor section when the weather permits, which is most of the time in Orlando.

This place serves up some great American-style fare including Ribs, Steaks, Chicken, Seafood, Pasta, Wings, Burgers, plus many many more.

Some of my favorites at Millers are Their Black and Blue Burger, Jambalaya, Tex Mex Chicken Nachos, and who could resist their Chicken Zingers!!

The Capital Grille Pointe Orlando

The Capital Grille at Pointe Orlando is an incredible upmarket American chain restaurant. The Capital Grille can be found in most cities across the U.S. and as of 2019, there were 59 restaurant locations.

The location at Pointe Orlando is a beautiful restaurant, perfect for a fancy night out or to celebrate any occasion. The restaurant is on the pricey side, however, the food is incredible and well worth the price in my opinion.

The steaks are out of this world if you are a meat lover. The restaurant also caters to vegetarianism and serves vegan options.

My favorite order here is the New York Strip Steak Au Poivre with a side of Au Gratin Potatoes and a nice glass or bottle of red, depending on the mood.

This restaurant is highly recommended and worth getting dressed up for.

  • Style: American, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options
  • Price range $$$$

The Pub at Pointe Orlando

The Pub at Pointe Orlando is another great spot on a more relaxed basis if you are looking for some decent bar food with a British twist.

The pub serves British favorites such as Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash, Scotch Egg, and Beer Battered Fish and Chips. These British favorites are also served with American Bar food staples like Sliders, Wings, a selection of Sandwiches, and Burgers.

My favorite dish at The Pub hands down has to be the self-professed “Best Fish & Chips in the U.S Beer Battered Fish and Chips dish. It is absolutely delicious with a pint of beer. The Pub also has many screens to watch your favorite sport on T.V.

  • Style: British, Pub food
  • Price range $$ – $$$
  • Address: 9101 International Dr. Suite 1003, Orlando, FL 32819

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse I-Drive

This restaurant is something special, if you are a steak lover then you have to try Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse. The restaurant is on the pricey side, so those who may be price sensitive may want to try something cheaper. Those on vacation who are looking for a nice treat should definitely give this place a go.

Del Frisco’s serves amazing meat and seafood dishes. The atmosphere within the restaurant is beautifully elegant and the service is incredible.

My favorite order here has to be the 12 Oz Fillet Mignon Steak with the house Mash Potatoes. The steak is always cooked the way I like it. So this place is a highly recommended place.

  • Style: American, Steakhouse, Vegetarian friendly
  • Price range $$$$$
  • Address: 9150 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819

The Oceanaire Seafood Room Pointe Orlando

If you are a Seafood love then the Oceanaire is the place for you. The restaurant is on the expensive side so be prepared, but when it comes to fresh Seafood of this quality for me at least money is no object.

The menu here is just incredible. If you have read down this far on the list of reviews you probably know by now that I love a good stake.

My favorite thing to order here is the surf and turf as the Seafood is just amazing, I love the Fillet Mignon and I ask for Prawns to go with it and a side of the Truffle Whipped Mashed Potatoes. I also highly recommend the Lobster at Oceanaire, it tastes wonderfully fresh. For dessert, the incredible Baked Alaska is always delicious.

  • Style: American, Seafood
  • Price range $$$$

Bonus Restaurants on International Drive Orlando 2026 Edition

NIKITTA RESTAURANT (OPENED JUNE 2025)

If you’re seeking something truly extraordinary on International Drive, Nikitta delivers an unforgettable Nikkei dining experience. This Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant opened in June 2025 and has quickly become one of Orlando’s most talked-about date-night destinations.

The refined yet welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a culinary journey that blends bold Peruvian flavors with the precision of Japanese technique. Every dish showcases the chef’s passion—from signature ceviches with Asian-inspired twists to beautifully plated sushi rolls finished with Peruvian sauces.

The menu changes seasonally, but standout dishes include their spicy tuna crispy rice, Nikkei-style tiradito, and fusion rolls that push creative boundaries without losing authenticity. The cocktail program features pisco-based drinks alongside Japanese whisky selections.

What makes Nikitta special is its ability to feel polished without being pretentious. Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary or impressing out-of-town guests, this is the kind of restaurant that makes International Drive a true dining destination.

2026 Update: Nikitta has maintained its reputation since opening and now accepts reservations through OpenTable. Weekend reservations book up quickly, so plan ahead for Friday or Saturday evenings.

• Style: Nikkei (Peruvian-Japanese Fusion)

• Price range: $$$$

• Address: 8255 International Dr #136, Orlando, FL 32819

THE EYE RESTAURANT & LOUNGE

The Eye Restaurant & Lounge proves that International Drive can compete with any major dining city when it comes to sophisticated nightlife dining. This Mediterranean-inspired restaurant combines exquisite tapas, handcrafted cocktails, and live entertainment in a setting that feels more Miami than Orlando.

The menu focuses on shareable plates perfect for groups or couples who want variety. Signature dishes include Wagyu beef sliders on pretzel buns with tzatziki and feta, seared lobster tail with caviar and rose wine sauce, and char-grilled octopus with truffle-infused potatoes. The Lemon Ouzo Scallops are a standout—perfectly seared and finished with a light lemon-cream sauce.

What sets The Eye apart is its dual identity. Early evening, it’s an upscale restaurant with Mediterranean flair. As the night progresses, a live DJ transforms the space into a nightlife destination. Friday and Saturday nights feature “halftime shows” that add unexpected entertainment to your dining experience.

The cocktail program is extensive, with creative martinis and Mediterranean-inspired drinks. If you’re looking for dinner and entertainment in one polished package, The Eye delivers both with style.

2026 Update: The Eye now offers a happy hour menu Sunday-Thursday from 5-7pm with small plates starting at $12. Reservations recommended for weekend evenings when the nightlife crowd arrives.

• Style: Mediterranean Fine Dining + Nightlife

• Price range: $$$$

• Address: 8255 International Dr #108, Orlando, FL 32819

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers

Address: 8718 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819

Phone: (407) 803-4171

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 10am-2am, Friday-Saturday 10am-3am

Price Range: $

Why It’s Here: Louisiana’s cult-favorite chicken finger chain finally arrived on I-Drive in early 2025, and Orlando locals went wild. This isn’t your average fast-casual spot. Raising Cane’s does ONE thing (perfectly crispy chicken fingers) and does it better than anyone else.

The secret? Fresh, never-frozen chicken tenders hand-battered and cooked to order, served with their legendary Cane’s Sauce that people literally drive across state lines to get. The menu is beautifully simple. no wings, no nuggets, no salads. just crave-worthy chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, buttery Texas toast, and creamy coleslaw. Order “The Box Combo” (4 fingers, fries, toast, slaw, drink, and that addictive sauce) or go big with “The Caniac” (6 fingers for serious appetites).

The I-Drive location is massive, modern, and stays open late (perfect for post-theme park cravings at midnight). Lines wrap around the building during peak hours because word travels fast when quality is this consistent. Families love it because kids demolish the simple menu. College students love it because it’s affordable and filling. Foodies love it because the chicken is genuinely superior, crispy outside, juicy inside, zero grease.

Pro tip: ask for extra Cane’s Sauce (you’ll want it for dipping everything), and if you’re really hungry, the 25-Finger Tailgate feeds 6-8 people and makes you a hero at any gathering. Raising Cane’s proves that doing one thing exceptionally well beats doing ten things mediocrely. This is fast food executed at a level that puts most sit-down chicken restaurants to shame.

Insider Tip: The sweet tea is perfectly balanced (not too sweet), and pairing it with hot, crispy fingers is peak Southern comfort. Arrive before 11:30am or after 2pm on weekends to skip the lunch rush. Late-night hours (open until 2-3am) make this a lifesaver after Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights or Disney After Hours events when everything else is closed.

IMPORTANT I-Drive Restaurant UPDATE 2026:

The Bahama Breeze at 8849 International Drive is currently undergoing a brand conversion. Parent company Darden Restaurants announced in February 2026 that all 28 remaining Bahama Breeze locations nationwide will either close permanently or convert to other Darden restaurant brands.

Good news for I-Drive diners: The International Drive location is on the “conversion” list, NOT the closure list. This means:

✅ The restaurant will remain at this location

✅ It will be converted to another Darden brand (likely Yard House, LongHorn Steakhouse, or Seasons 52)

✅ The building and staff are being retained

✅ Conversion expected between April 2026 – October 2027

What this means for your visit:

– Through April 5, 2026: Bahama Breeze continues normal operations with full menu

– After April 2026: Temporary closure for renovation (2-4 weeks estimated)

– Reopening 2026-2027: New Darden concept restaurant at same address

Why the change? Darden stated that Bahama Breeze was “no longer a strategic priority” after 30 years. The original Bahama Breeze location opened on I-Drive in 1996, making Orlando the birthplace of the Caribbean-themed chain.

Local rumors suggest the I-Drive location may become a **Yard House** (upscale sports bar with 100+ beers on tap), which would fit perfectly with the high-traffic tourist corridor. Official confirmation from Darden is expected Spring 2026.
