Hands down the Hulk has to be one of our favorite roller coasters in Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando, this coaster rockets riders off at a speed of 0-40 MPH in just 2 seconds and reaches max speeds of up to 67 MPH, there is a mega drop of over 100 feet at the beginning and it is so much fun, keep your eyes open for this one if you can! This coaster does numerous loops, twists, and turns to excite at every moment, this roller coaster gives you a good sense of just how big Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park really is.

No 2, Mako
Theme Park: SeaWorld
Max Height: 200 feet
Speed: 73 MPH

SeaWorld’s Mako is named after one of the world’s fasted swimming shark species, and this roller coaster really goes like one with speeds of up to 73 miles per hour at its quickest plunges, this roller coaster has some really steep dives and does not fail to thrill riders. You need to be at least 54 inches or 4.5 feet tall to ride this roller coaster. The views are pretty incredible from the tallest part of this coaster as it climbs up to 200 feet so do not be tempted to close your eyes on this one! If you are a die-hard roller coaster fan this one is not to be missed.

This is another of SeaWorld’s amazing rides Kraken has some pretty amazing stats like being the world’s longest roller coasters without a floor, the ride includes a zero gravity roll and various corkscrews and multiple inversions making this roller coaster an exhilarating ride and one that must be on your list if you make the trip to SeaWorld.

Another awesome roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando is Manta whereby riders board a Manta Ray and speed around an amazing track rising to a height of just over 140 feet, the ride includes a plunge of over 110 feet headfirst as this roller coaster is quite different from most sit-down roller coasters, the Manta suspends riders in the air and gives the sense of flying and you dangle underneath the cover of the Manta Ray. After the severe drop and loop at the beginning of the ride, the roller coaster becomes more enjoyable as you glide across SeaWorld’s park and take in the beautiful views.

No. 5 Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

The Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster is Disney’s tip of the cap to Rock Band Aerosmith as this roller coaster has an awesome soundtrack to rock out to while riding this awesomely fun family-orientated roller coaster where you get to sit in a rocking limo with blasting tunes from the coasters 32,000-watt sound system, depending on what coaster car you get it plays different tunes by Aerosmith, one roller coaster ride definitely not to miss. It is to be noted that the Rock ‘n’ Roller coaster is an indoor coaster but is still an awesome rush.

Everybody loves Big Thunder Mountain and is one of Disney’s awesome roller coasters, it’s one for all the family and is not an extreme roller coaster. The theme is based in an old haunted gold mine, this roller coaster is so much fun especially if you don’t like the severe drops or 360 loops that some roller coasters have, this Disney staple is a must-do when you get to the theme park and still packs lots of fun and is great for small riders. The ride is based in Frontier Land at Magic Kingdom Orlando.

One of the most nostalgic rides at Disney’s Magic Kingdom is an indoor futuristic thrill ride like no other, another Disney staple ride that when you get to Magic Kingdom you just have to try. The roller coaster is set indoors, and the ride is set in the dark with some awesome flashing lights inside with warp speed sounds to boot. It is a great roller coaster for all the family and great for small riders too. This is the second indoor roller coaster on our list, the video below shows the view of a rider on the coaster with the lights on inside the ride which provides an interesting view.

We love Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket it is awesome, it races along at speeds of up to 65 MPH and at the very beginning has an amazing vertical climb and drop which is one of this rollercoaster’s main highlights, riders can choose from a range of songs while riding this coaster. After a rider gets strapped they can choose which song they would like to enjoy while zipping around on this almost 2-minute speed ride around the park. This one is not for the faint-hearted as that drop is very full on but satisfies any adrenalin junkies fix for speed and excitement.

No. 9 Expedition Everest Animal Kingdom Disney

A favorite ride here is Expedition Everest as it has a little surprise in store for its riders (Spoiler Alert if you watch the below video) it races along at speeds of up to 50 MPH and has a very cool drop of about 80 feet as you try and outrun the abominable snowman that’s all were saying! In true Disney style, this roller coaster is all about the detail, Animal Kingdom is such an awesome park and this roller coaster is definitely worth the trip over to a section of the theme park known as ‘Asia’.

Who doesn’t love Harry Potter? This roller coaster is pretty cool and really goes for a family roller coaster, and if you are a Harry Potter fan then it’s a must-try. This coaster has a twist in which riders board motorbikes, this ride has some cool tricks up its sleeves and if you don’t want to spoil the fun it is recommended not to watch the video below and just catch the ride in person when you get to Universal.
